Due to an injury, Saim Ayub was disqualified from the ICC Champions Trophy.

 

Saim Ayub, Pakistan's youthful opener, will not be able to compete in the ICC Champions Trophy because of an ankle injury. He will be rehabilitated for ten weeks. The injury occurred while playing South Africa in a test. Upon passing a fitness test, he will be available for the New Zealand tour.

NEW DELHI: Saim Ayub, a young opener for Pakistan, will miss the ICC Champions Trophy because of an ankle injury that will require ten weeks of recovery.
The injury happened in Cape Town on the opening day of the second test match against South Africa in January.
